Passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023 peacefully at Victoria Hospital with family by his side. Beloved wife of 49 years to Pat (Orvis) Campbell. Father and father-in-law of Jeff and Melissa Campbell (Lucan) and Kelly and Larry Liddell (Denfield). Loved and adored Grandpa to Mikayla, Matilyn and Makena Liddell and Boka to Aaden, Kylie and Ashton Campbell. Brother and brother-in-law to Diane Opfer (Hensall), Jim and June Campbell (Glencoe), Harvey Walters (Thamesford), Jim and Janet Orvis (Oil Springs) and Bonnie Marriott (Petrolia). Predeceased by his parents Jim and Lillian Campbell, sister Janice Walters, brother-in-laws Ron Orvis and Gord Opfer, and by his in-laws Ross and Edna Orvis. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Dan retired from Kellogg’s after 35 years. He also retired from the Lucan Biddulph Volunteer Fire Department after 33 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and Nascar, but the most important thing in his life were his 6 Grandchildren.
Friends are invited to a celebration of Dan’s life at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Thursday, March 30th from 5-7:30 PM.
Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

I am so incredibly sorry to hear of Dan’s passing…I just heard this past weekend.
So many good memories of a wonderful Man. He was the best Santa in the Lucan Christmas Parades, when my daughter was little and we stood at the sidelines he always called out to her…made her day!
Dan was so good to my Dad over the years, and he attended both my Mom and my Dad’s services. My heart broke hearing too late in order to attend and offer my condolences in person.
