Condolence from Helen Leighton McCurdy – Barrie Ontario on February 12th, 2013 7:35 PM

Our sincere sympathy to the Bruls family in the loss of your beloved mother.
In the early 1950s your mom and dad along with their eldest child John and new baby Maria (?) arrived at our farm in Dufferin county on following a long journey by ship from Holland.
I will never forget the excitement of that day.
I remember that your mother was a very capable lady, hard working (your father as well).
I remember seeing a lovely black and white photo of your mom in her nursing uniform. (Army nurse?)
Ruby was always laughing, a lovely jolly laugh.
A life long lived, a life well lived.
May she rest in well deserved peace.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family in your sad loss.
Helen,(Barrie Ont.), Marie, Irene and Beth (Shelburne, Ont.), John, (New Lowell, Ont.) Jim, (Alliston, Ont.), Yvonne, (Alliston, Ont.)

My deepest felt condolonces to the Bruls family for their loss.
I have known your family since 1963, and can still remember getting my favourite dutch black licorice from your family store in Exeter.
I can still picture your mother sitting on her front porch with her two giant Newfoundland dogs.
She will be greatly missed.
God Bless you all
