Brokie, as I knew him for the last 66 years, was my Pal and best friend. We hunted and fished together from the time we were kids. As we grew older and had families, we visited back and forth and the bond between us deepened. My girls and his girls were like sisters and got along well together. Our card games were hotly contested between ‘the guys’ and ‘the girls’ well into the night.
Diane and I , Stacy and Bonnie and their families will miss him greatly, and we will miss the Brokenshire yearly visits to our Homestead lodge for some needed R&R.
