On June 13, 2019, Marg, in her 94th year, peacefully joined her late husband John of over 59 years, in God’s great eternal promise. Dear mother of Marlene Boland and the late Risto Laamanen, Bernard Boland and Sharon Mardlin, Joanne Boland and Ivan O’Halloran, Rosemary Boland and Allan Ryan, and Brenda Boland and Ross Courtis. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Craig and Elizabeth, Angelina and Brett; Laura and Dan, Amanda and Sean; Patrick, Lindsey and Sheldon; Gayle and Daniel, Loretta; Keenan, and Evan. Great-grandma of Aden, Darren and Bailey. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Survived by sister-in-law Evelyn Wright, Theresa Boland, and Marg Boland. Predeceased by parents Joseph and Pauline Wright (Magnus), brothers John (Mildred), Frank, Stewart (Blanche), Bert, and Leo (Hilda) and sister Helen. Marg was a partner in the family farm for over 35 years and was a long time employee of Dashwood Industries. She was an active member of the CWL in Lucan and many enjoyed her home style cooking, particularly her pies at community events.
Marg’s family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Chartwell Westmount Long Term Care Residence, Kitchener, Ontario for their considerate care over the past year.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Tuesday from 6 – 8 PM. Prayers will be held in the funeral home at 8 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, 32922 Richmond Street, Lucan on Wednesday, June 19th at 11 AM, with Father Ross Bartley presiding. Interment St Patrick Cemetery, Lucan.
For those who wish, donations to the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
