BOLAND: John F. (Jack) of Kitchener formerly of Lucan

Peacefully at Lanark Heights Nursing Home, Kitchener, formerly of Lucan, on May 23, 2014 in his 93rd year. Loving husband of Margaret (nee Wright) for over 59 years. Dear father of Marlene Boland of Oro-Medonte and the late Risto Laamanen, Bernard Boland and Sharon Mardlin of Stittsville, Joanne Boland of Ridgetown, Rosemary Boland and Allan Ryan of Waterloo and Brenda Boland and Ross Courtis of Conestogo. Will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Craig and Liz, Angelina; Laura and Dan, Amanda; Patrick, Lindsey and Sheldon; Gayle, Loretta; Keenan and Evan, and great-grandpa of Aden, Darren and Bailey. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Survived by brothers-in-law Jim Ryan and Joseph Wright and sisters-in-law, Theresa Boland, Marg Boland, Hilda Wright and Evelyn Wright. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary Boland, sisters Marie Walsh and Margaret Ryan and his brothers, Joseph, Lawrence, Jerry and Leonard Boland.  Jack farmed for 35 years in Biddulph Township and prior to that in McGillivray Township.  He was an active member of various church, school and farm boards and was a regular blood donor.

Friends and family may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, 32922 Richmond Street, Lucan on Monday, May 26th at 11 AM with Father Dariusz Lewandowski presiding.  Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Lucan.

Prayers will be said in the funeral home on Sunday evening at 8 PM.

Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Memorial Tree

Each year we hold a tree dedication ceremony at Morrison Dam in Exeter. We purchase a tree to be planted in memory of the lives lost from the previous year.

Our Service Coverage Area

Service AreaWe are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Potential Additional Transportation Fees

$150 - If transport requires more than one person, additional fee charged per person required
$150 - If transport occurs outside Mon-Fri, 9-5 business hours
