Dear step-father of Jamie Benson and Laurie of Ottawa, and Jackie Benson of Saskatoon. Dear step-grandfather of Branden, Jordan and Maddison; and April. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Gladys (Alexander) Berdan.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street west of Main) on Monday evening from 7-9 PM, and again one hour prior to the service which will be held on Tuesday, August 29 at 11 AM. Interment Exeter Cemetery.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

I woke up this morning thinking about cousin Kirby and how much extended family has been missed, especially over the last few years with COVID.
I will always remember how much fun Kirby was to interact with. He was always jovial and laughing when we would see him at birthdays and family events, reunions, and family picnics. As kids we loved his jokes and laughter.
It’s hard to believe four years has already come and gone. As we near the anniversary of his passing, know that his memory lives on.

I first met Kirby when I led Exeter’s Playground Program, this was over 50 years ago, Kirby was probably 9, I was in my 14th year. What a delightful child he was! Fun. Bright.
