BEATSON: Carol Anne (Ashworth) of R.R.#4 Denfield

Peacefully at LHSC – Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 of RR 4 Denfield in her 69th year.  Beloved wife of Lyle Beatson for 43 wonderful years.  Cherished mother of Jason and Janet Beatson of RR 1 Lucan, and Sheila and Brad Hodgins of RR 3 Parkhill.  Adored grandmother of Janessa, Jillian, Jaclyn; Trent and Hailey.  Dear sister-in-law of Ralph and Sandra Pitt, Don and Deanna Beatson, and Sharon Hodgins.  Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, especially Susan Malone and Nancy Adams. Predeceased by her parents Art and Doris Ashworth, and brother-in-law Lloyd Hodgins. 

Carol lived most of her life on the farm on Thirteen Mile Road.  She worked at Labadie Blinds for 23 years.  Carol was a very active member of the Ilderton Agricultural Society, Holy Trinity Anglican Church, and Grace Anglican Church.  Carol will be fondly remembered for her love of her flowers, Sunday drives, walks on Thirteen Mile, but most of all – her unconditional love for her family and her five grandchildren. 

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 189 Main Street, Lucan on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11 AM with The Rev. Matt Martin officiating. Interment Medway Cemetery, Middlesex Centre.

Donations to Holy Trinity Anglican Church or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

    It just doesn’t seem possible that she’s gone. She had so much energy, so much devotion and so much joy in her, and she leaves such a terrible hole.     I am so sorry to hear of Carol’s sudden passing. She was a wonderful person, always with a smile on her face and made a point of always coming over in church to say hello. She loved her Family and was very proud of her Grandchildren.

    I have fond memories of Carol visiting my Mom (Marion Hodgins nee Ashworth) and also visiting with her and her Parents (at the Family farm) when I was little.

    I was very saddened and shocked to hear of Carol’s passing . Although we had never actually met, we spoke on the phone frequently during the course of business with Labadie’s and Carol was always so helpful and cheerful .     We are so sorry to hear of Carol’s passing. It is a real shock and so sudden. We are glad that God took her quickly to be with him in Heaven and she did not suffer long. Carol was an exceptional woman, great seamstress, cook, baker and gardener. She was a Girl Guide Leader, Sunday school teacher, mother, wife, grandmother and friend . Carol touched many people’s lives and each person benefited from her gifts. She excelled at everything she did. She always had a smile on her face. A very optimistic, happy and fun lady. We will never forget her infectious laugh. We will miss her.

Memorial Tree

Each year we hold a tree dedication ceremony at Morrison Dam in Exeter. We purchase a tree to be planted in memory of the lives lost from the previous year.

Our Service Coverage Area

Service AreaWe are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Potential Additional Transportation Fees

$150 - If transport requires more than one person, additional fee charged per person required
$150 - If transport occurs outside Mon-Fri, 9-5 business hours
