Peacefully at St. Marys Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 25th, 2014 of Granton in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Rilla (Gowan) Bakker forĀ 56 years. Dear father of Victoria Bakker and Mat Kelly of Granton and Ben Bakker and Kim Bakker of Cambridge. Dear grandfather of Marcell, Savannah and Jason; and Gillian. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Lien Bakker of Holland, Pete and Betsy Bakker of London, Corrie Koetsier of Hamilton, John and Veronica Bakker of Glanworth, Martina and Leigh MacMillan of PEI, Walter and Cindy Veenstra of Brampton and Hendrika and Jella Fekkes of Jordan Station. Jim will be sadly missed by his cousin Jim and Corrie Bakker and the Hoekstra Families. Predeceased by his sister Adriana and brothers Martin and Adriaan.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main St., Lucan on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th, 2014 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Paul Vollick officiating.
Donations to the Canadian Angelman Syndrome Society would be appreciated by the family.
