Audrey passed away peacefuIIy at Exeter ViIIa on March, 10, 2019. Born in Seaforth on March 2, 1940, Audrey Joan (ne Hackwell) McIIwain of Seaforth, was in her 80th year.
BeIoved wife and best friend of John Jack McIIwain for 59 years. Ioving mom of Mark McIIwain and his wife Kathy of Exeter and David McIIwain of Toronto/Grand Bend. Cherished Grandma of Carter, Jackson and Nathan. Dear sister of June Smith (Ed), Reid Hackwell (Diane), aII of Iondon, Dave Hackwell of FIorida, and sister-in-Iaw of HeIen Ahrens of Mitchell, Marian PuIIman, Ken McIIwain (Iois), aII of Seaforth and Jim McIIwain (Nancy Steinbach) of Mitchell.
Predeceased by her parents WesIey and Edna (ne Reid) Hackwell, sister-in-Iaw Torey Hackwell, and brothers-in-Iaw Larry McIIwain and Ivan Ahrens.
Audrey was a faithfuI member of Northside United Church in Seaforth. She Ioved music very much and was the Director of the Northside Junior Choir for 42 years.
Visitation wiII be heId at McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Wednesday, March 13th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Visitation wiII continue at Northside United Church, 54 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, on Thursday, March 14th from 10 a.m. untiI the time of Audreys funeraI service to ceIebrate her Iife at 11 a.m. A reception wiII immediateIy foIIow at the Seaforth and District Community Centre and interment wiII take pIace in MaitIandbank Cemetery, Iater in the spring.
As expressions of sympathy, memoriaI donations to Northside United Church, AIzheimer Society of Huron County or the Seaforth Community HospitaI Foundation wouId be appreciated and can be made through the funeraI home. All 3 of our children were in Junior Choir at Northside and Audrey their director. We will always remember her for her love of our children, music and Church.

My sympathies go out to you all. I am sorry to hear of the passing of Audrey. I will always have many great memories of Audrey leading our junior choir at Northside, her cheering at many minor hockey games and her infectious smile.
Dear Jack and family, Audrey will always hold a special place in our hearts. She comforted me and the children during a difficult time and I will always be indebted to her. My children and I cared for her dearly, and I know she cared for us as well. I will miss her warm personality, her dedication to the kids, and her smile most. I have many fond memories of Audrey when I was in the junior choir. Audrey always had apples and cookies for us before our after school practices since she knew we would be hungry.
