It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving wife and mother, at home, on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at the age of 59. Nancy is survived by her husband Gary, of 24 years. Devoted mother of Tanya Ashenden of Exeter, and Daniel Ashenden of Surrey, British Columbia. Dear step-mother of Shari Chapelle of Welland, Shelley Heidman (Ralph) also of Welland, Sean Ashenden (Patti) of Fonthill, Jay Ashenden (Kristen) of Niagara Falls, and Eileen Caesar (Martin) of Leduc, Alberta. Loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of John Overholt (Kim) of Goderich, Bill Overholt of Goderich, Bob Overholt of Dunnville, Roy Overholt of Burlington, Anne Basler (Fred) of Clinton, Linda Zirk (Lou) of Zurich, Barb Roberts of London, Ruth Bissett (Mike) of Goderich, and Doris Smith (Bruce) of Clinton. Sister-in-law of Candace Paris (Dennis) of Niagara Falls, Barb Melancon of Napanee, and Tom Ashenden (Mary) of Barrie. Nancy will be missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Gord Overholt (1992) and Grace Overholt (1996).
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 40007 Kirkton Road, Centralia, on Friday November 17, 2017, at 2:00pm. Arrangements entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter.
Memorial donations to South Huron Hospital Foundation-Jessica’s House, or South Niagara Life Ministries-Fort Erie would be appreciated by the family.
