Suddenly and unexpectedly at her home on Friday, January 3, 2020 of Exeter, at the age of 73. Cherished and devoted wife of William (Bill) Armstrong for over 48 years. Proud mother of Tony and Heather Armstrong, and Kate and Chris Hern all of Exeter. Adored grandma of Owen, late Jenica, Matthew; Kayleigh, and Connor. Loved daughter of Jean Posthumus of Kitchener and the late Jim Posthumus. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Gus Posthumus, Don and Sharon Posthumus, Alice Beaudry, Fred Posthumus all of Kitchener, Donna and Dave Underwood of Wellesley, Laurie and Mary Armstrong of St. Stephen, New Brunswick, and Willie Allan of Kitchener. Anne will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by sister and brother-in-law Arlene and George Hiemstra.
A Celebration of Anne’s Life will be held at the Exeter Legion, R.E. Pooley – Branch 167, 316 William Street, Exeter on Wednesday, January 8th from 3 – 6 PM. Cremation has taken place, arrangements entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter (519-235-1220).
In lieu of flowers, donations to Exeter Legion, R.E. Pooley – Branch 167, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).
