Suddenly, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Monday, January 16, 2017, of Exeter and formerly of RR 2 Hensall at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Ruth (McLean) Anderson for 56 years. Dear father of the late Bruce Anderson (1993), and Steve Anderson and Katherine Wraith of Exeter. Dear grandfather of Jennifer and Evan Habermehl, Jeff Anderson and Cheryl McIntosh, and Jamie Anderson and Victoria Hughes all of St. Marys; Brandon Anderson of Exeter; and great-grandfather of Lyla, Ivy; and Ava. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Marilyn Campbell of Hensall, Gary and Patty Anderson of Thedford, Mac and Ann McLean of Clinton, and Eileen and Alex Townsend of Clinton. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by great-grandson Landon Habermehl, and brothers-in-law Homer Campbell, and Bev McLean.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street west of Main) on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM, where the funeral service will be held on Friday, January 20th at 11 AM with Rev. Laurie O’Leary officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery.
Donations to the Exeter United Church, or the Royal Canadian Legion, Exeter – R.E. Pooley Branch 167 would be appreciated by the family.

I had the extreme pleasure of working with Ron at South Huron District High School and he made every day enjoyable. His sense of humour was always spot on and we would often trade jokes and stories. He knew how to tell a good tale. Ron made everyone in his presence feel special and he was one of the reasons why I looked forward to coming to work. He went out his way to make sure that if I needed something for my classroom, it would be found, fixed, or replaced. Ron was just a great man. My deepest condolences to you all and I hope that the love and support of your family and friends and the many good stories about Ron will help you all through the difficult days ahead.
