Allan M. Hodgins

Suddenly at home in London, on Sunday, February 14, 2010, in his 65th year.  Beloved husband of Maxine (Locke) Kent. Dear father of Mark Hodgins of London and Tecia and Rob Lamont of Milton, David Kent of London and Lorraine and Steve Neal of Woodstock. Dear grandfather of Payton; Holden and Ainsley; and Jessica. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Grant and Margaret Hodgins and Avis and Larry Kilpatrick; Earlene and Joe Todd and Robert and Sharon Locke. Predeceased by his brother Gordon, sisters-in-law Dorothy Jackson and Shirley Lindsay.

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan, one hour prior to the memorial service which will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Sue McCullough officiating. Cremation with interment at St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

    We offer our sincere condolences to you in the loss of two wonderful family members and friends.
    Allan was always a good friend and fun guy to hang out with when I was growing up. He will be fondly remembered by his former townline buddies and all others who had the chance to call Allan their friend. He was a kind and gentle man.
    We have just returned from vacation in Arizona and were saddened to hear of Allan and Maxine’s passing.

    May you all be given the strength to get through this difficult time of transition.

    To mark and Ticia, Avis and Larry, Grant and Marg and families, as well as Gordon’s family:
    We were surprised to receive news that Allan and now Maxine, have both passed away in such a short period of time. We can only imagine the impact this is having on everyone in both families. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to all of you at this time as you grieve the loss of Allan and Maxine. Unfortunately we are vacationing this week and will be unable to attend the funerals on Friday but our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this extremely upsetting and difficult time.

    My sister, Shirley, called me from Winnipeg relaying the very sad news of Allan’s death. Unfortunately, as I live in Texas, I will be unable to attend the ceremony.     I am so sorry and I want to give each of you my sincere sympathy in this sudden loss.My Mom and Dad had such a strong friendship with Norm and Velma and through them with Allan and Maxine and I know they shared many happy times. My personal memories are more because of Junior farmers.Good times to remember for sure.
    You are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. I will not be able to attend as I fly to Dallas this afternoon.

    I was stunned by the sad news of Allan’s passing. Unfortunately, I just arrived in Winnipeg on Sunday and will be unable to be at the service on Friday. I will be spending Fri. and Sat. with Kelly and girls and we will certainly be thinking of all of you with sincere sympathy. Allan was a sincere and fun guy and will be remembered fondly by all who had the good fortune to have known him. He touched his relatives and friends lives with kindness.

Memorial Tree

Each year we hold a tree dedication ceremony at Morrison Dam in Exeter. We purchase a tree to be planted in memory of the lives lost from the previous year.

Our Service Coverage Area

Service AreaWe are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Potential Additional Transportation Fees

$150 - If transport requires more than one person, additional fee charged per person required
$150 - If transport occurs outside Mon-Fri, 9-5 business hours
