Peacefully with his family at his side at LHSC – Victoria Hospital, London, on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, of Zurich in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Carol Anne (neé Masse) (McCarthy) Prang. Dear father of Steven and Meghan Prang of Waterloo, Tanya and Tyler Mason of Huron Park, Brian Prang of Kitchener; and step-father of Greg and Suzanne McCarthy of Dashwood. Dear grandfather of Emily and Carter; and step-grandfather of Alexis, Nicole, and Vanessa. Beloved son-in-law of Ethel Masse of Dashwood. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Allan and Barb Prang of Bruce Beach; Sharon and Terry Romphf, Pat and Connie Masse, Ken Masse, and Barb and Bob Reschke all of Dashwood, and Robert Masse and Shellie McLeod of Exeter. Missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Lenoard and Amelia (Rader) Prang, brother Robert, sister Eleanor Coleman, and brother-in-law Jack.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 49 Goshen Street North, Zurich on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 23 Goshen Street South, Zurich on Saturday, March 19th at 11 AM with Pastor Nadine Schroeder-Kranz officiating. Interment St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.

Carol and family: our condolences to you and all who loved Ed. I have always treasured my friendship with Ed which goes back to public school days over 60 years ago. I think all the kids in Zurich were jealous of Ed riding around in the little homemade car that Len had made. Then came the BMW, one of Ed’s proud possessions – riding with his little dog Sparky in the side car. And of course there were our nights out in the great big Cadillac, music blaring as he loved The Rolling Stones. It was an honour to be part of your wedding and always fun catching up with Ed when I visited home. You and the kids and grandkids were his life and he always knew how much he was loved.
