Passed peacefully at Blue Water Rest Home on July 13, 2021 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Paul Cyr and Mark Whitney. Cherished mother of David and Carol Cyr of Centralia, Catherine and Rene Sauve of Chatham, Tom Cyr of Zurich, Pat and Gail Cyr of Ilderton, and Mike and Colleen Cyr of Zurich. Adored grandmother of Adam, Nikki, Casey; Alisha, Chris; Adam; Luc, Ben, Abi; Melody, Michaela, and Corissa, and great grandmother to 7. Sister and sister in law of Armand and Helen Cyr, Bernadette and Lionel Cyr, Marie and Joe Quillan, and Cora Folks. Marie will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Jerry Durand, Paul Durand, Tony Durand, and Andre Durand.
Public visitation will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church from 9:30 – 10:30 on Friday, July 16. Due to COVID Restrictions each person must register to attend the visitation. Please click “Register now” below to register. A private family Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM with Father Vince Gulikers presiding. Interment St. Boniface Cemetery on the Bronson Line.
Donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Extending my most sincere condolences to the Cyr Family as I am now just learning of the passing of Marie Cyr. I used to spend time visiting her in Hensall pre Covid. Originally I met Marie through DJ Reiger, a mutual friend who lived in Zurich and I frequently visited her whenever I was attending the Goderich Craft Show. Since I am now in Goderich for the 1st time since Covid I am so sorry to learn that Marie passed away in 2021. Once again, my most sincere condolences to the Cyr Family. Marie was such a lovely lady and it was always a pleasure to be with her.
