ZIEGLER: Ken of Zurich

Peacefully at his home, with his family by his side, on Sunday, May 23, 2021 of Zurich at the age of 66.  Loving and devoted husband of Jacquie (Welch) Ziegler for over 21 years.  Dear son of Norma (Noble) Ziegler of Southampton. Proud caring father of Penny and Kristian Bernat of London, Dan and Valerie Ziegler of Dorchester, Andy Ziegler of London, Jesse Butler of Exeter, Jordan Butler of Exeter, Ricky Welch of Calgary, and youngest daughter Montana (Tilly) Ziegler of Exeter. Anthony Gosso of Exeter.  Dear grandfather of Matthew, Jake; Mason, Jax, and Hattie; and Kaylin. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Dave and Marie Ziegler, Sue and Terry Widmeyer, Nancy and Ernie Klink, Mary and Mike Miranda, Cheryl Welch, Barry and Lynn Welch, Wendy and Wayne McKague, Tammy and Darryl Postill, Chrissy and Dale Baer.  Fondly cherished by all of his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Lloyd (2000), brother-in-law Rick Welch, and sister-in-law Debbie Welch.  Fondly remembered by his four-legged pal Summer (Buddy). Ken is reunited with his feline friend Belle who passed away last year.  Ken loved his NASCAR weekends, hockey, and football.  Whether he was taking meticulous care of his property, or going to a doctors appointment, he could always be found wearing his favourite work boots.

Visitation will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, 49 Goshen Street N , ZURICH on Thursday beginning at 11 AM. Due to Provincial COVID-19 restrictions, each person must RSVP for the visitation. Please click “Register Now” below to register.

A private family funeral service will be held on Friday, May 28th at 11 AM. Cremation to follow with interment St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery, Zurich. Though the service is private, the family invites you to join with them from the comfort of your own home. Stream the service live or at your convenience by visiting www.facebook.com/haskettfh.

Donations to Jessica’s House would be appreciated by the family.

Memorial Tree

Each year we hold a tree dedication ceremony at Morrison Dam in Exeter. We purchase a tree to be planted in memory of the lives lost from the previous year.

Our Service Coverage Area

Service AreaWe are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Potential Additional Transportation Fees

$150 - If transport requires more than one person, additional fee charged per person required
$150 - If transport occurs outside Mon-Fri, 9-5 business hours
