FORDE: Scott of Seaforth

April 8, 2021 By Haskett Funeral Homes 75 Condolences

FORDE: Scott of Seaforth

Following an uphill battle, Scott passed away unexpectedly, on Friday, April 2, 2021 at the age of 28. He will be gratefully missed by his daughter Charolette and her sisters Keyda, and Harley. Cherished son of Sheri and Marvin Taylor and Jeff Forde and his partner Rose. Loving grandson of Lee and Darrell Grainger and Lois Forde. Proud brother of Krista and Greame Burndt, Tanya Forde and Chris Chase, and Samantha and Max Masse. Special uncle of Amber, Tristan, Mia, Skylar, Leah, Tenley, Gabrielle, and Maddilyn. Dear step-brother of Kari and Marty Debruyn, Krista and Trumane Taylor-McLean, and Kim Taylor. Step-uncle of Jesse, Jasper, Jorja, Isaiah, and Olivia.

Scott struggled with opioid addictions for many years. He fought hard with all he had to get the help he needed to beat his addictions. With the strong determination to move forward, comes another uphill battle, fighting off the effects of withdrawal. Though Scott had his struggles, his family never once let them determine the person he was. Scott was a man who was happiest around his children, nieces, and nephews. His smile always lit up the room he walked into.

Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, Seaforth (519-527-1390).

Donations to Tanner Steffler Foundation or the CMHA Huron Perth would be appreciated by the family.

Our sincerest condolences to the Forde and Taylor families. We are incredibly saddened to hear of Scott’s passing. Thank you for your raw and honest obituary; Scott’s illness is not what defined him. By sharing Scott’s story you are helping to eliminate the stigma around addiction and mental health and foster compassion and action to help others who are struggling. Thank you for being Scott’s voice. He would be very proud. RIP Scott

I wish to express my most sincere condolences to the entire Forde and extended family.
Scotty was easily one my favourite people. Him and I had actually planned on kayaking through the Hullett Marsh on the Saturday, April 3. I am moving my life to British Columbia this week and before I left I wanted to spend some with my old friend doing something he loved and that both of us would remember.
I share your grief, the loss of Scott is keenly felt by many who knew his smile and loved that joker soul.
    Great, great guy.

Scott was a loving and caring father to not only our daughter Charolette but also to my other two children Keyda and Harley. We will forever continue to speak highly of Scott and keep his presence welcome in our home. Scott was always a happy go lucky man with a fun way of seeing the silver lining in every aspect of his life whether it be someone who had done him wrong or someone who made a positive impact he would always tell the best of the person. We will miss his little smirk he always wore on his face and his silly little jokes he would make. We have many positive memories of Scott that we will continue to reminisce as time goes on. Sleep well Scott this isn’t goodbye but simply we will see you later. STAY BEAUTIFUL.
