Scooter was a partier to some, and a farmer to others. Well, he was alot of things and they were all precious. I was lucky enough to see more than one side of him. Especially the side that fell in love with Deb, her sons, and eventually the grandchildren they shared.

Yep – Paul will be remembered for his shenanigans!
It was non-stop fun having Paul come for visits, as he was always eager to lead the pack of Schieck cousins his age. From playing tag in the creek or being pretend circus tightrope walkers along the railroad irons or playing hide ‘n seek buck-naked in the hay stack . . . Paul was never short of ideas! And we are just as eager to play along!
As life would have it – sometimes we become consumed far to easily with achieving work and building goals that we miss the everyday wonders of hanging out with those whom we held such fond memories growing up. And I will treasure the few times in the past decade when I was able to physically reconnect with Paul and laugh again ’til tears rolled down my cheek. Some people are good for the soul – and Paul was one of those people for me.
