Dear Carol, Bryan, Ruth, Steve, Paul, Connie, and families,

Your father/grandfather exuded warmth and kindness. He always lit up when he saw me and gave me one of those big hugs of his. He had a way of making you feel special. I&&single&&m certain he did that with everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Heinz&&single&&s first memory of Jim was when he met him during his high school years working part time at “Soups”. His easy going and friendly manner left an impression with Heinz that has lasted over 45 years. We&&single&&re so sincerely sorry for your loss,

I”m sorry for your [ our ] loss. Always enjoyed J-J ” s company . ” Never afraid of a hard days work ” is an understatement. He used to tucker me right out, just watching him . He had a real passion for life, family, friends, the Island, euchrce, fishing, work and on and on and on. I will miss his big smiling face and his ” Joie de Vivre ” . He inspired that energy to those all around him. J. J. was a gentleman and a gentle man. I will and do miss him. An ” Islander Neighbour “, Rick Kempthorne
